Blossom….

Hello there…how have you been and has it been a good week?

It’s been a bit of a funny week for me if I’m honest. Some problems have been solved, some are very nearly solved and then there are others where I don’t really know where to begin.

This morning I needed some time on my own and an (early!) walk in the sunshine with Furry Pickle. He was in no way as keen as I was! The sky was perfectly clear and blossom was making an appearance everywhere…

So pretty isn’t it?

Later on in the morning my lovely friend H came round for lunch and a morning of crafting chat. H and I are both working on a quilting pattern at the same time. We’ve both managed to complete the first of our Cath Kidston ‘Star’ designs and are looking forward to doing more. If any of you are interested in the pattern it’s in the Cath Kidston Patch book. H showed me a beautiful cardigan that she had crocheted. It was gorgeous and made me think that I have to get to grips with crochet this year. As well as some delicious shortbread (in a fantastic tin) H gave me some patterns for a set of very nice woodland animal toys. I am now very distracted and keen to make the Fox, the Racoon, the Rabbit, the Deer…..ALL of them in fact!

It was a  lovely morning and I’m hoping we can get together again soon.

This week I’m busy preparing for a class I’m teaching on Saturday at The Fabric Warehouse! It’s such a fantastic venue and as well as selling a brilliant supply of fabrics, ribbons, trims and felt it also offers classes from dress making to crochet, quilting and home furnishings,  a UFO (unfinished objects club – love this!) and a class to make these little Mother’s Day hearts by me….

I hope that you like them…

If you’d like to find out more you can view the full calendar of classes and events here It would be lovely to see you if you’re free.

I’m really looking forward to the class and have some more lined up for April which is very exciting. I have put together a little tutorial for these hearts and will try to work out how to upload it for my next post so you’ll have time to make one for Mother’s Day.

Have a good week and see you soon.
